Gujranwala students storm board office

Students of Intermediate part-one stormed the Gujranwala education board office on Thursday to protest against reported negligence in announcing results. Numerous errors in the computerised results for Intermediate part I enraged the students who left behind smashed windows and broken office equipment. Ayesha Tabbasum, a first-year student of FSc, told Pakistan Today that against her roll number, the name Afzal appeared who had failed.
She condemned the negligence in printing, saying it had caused trouble to hundreds of students. Another student Muhammad Quddus said he had been given zero marks in his best-attempted exam. He said he went through mental stress because of the board’s negligence. Talking to Pakistan Today, Gujranwala board Chairman Mehar Bashir accepted that there were errors in the results and announced to issue the results soon after removing printing glitches.
