Asha Bhosle enters the Guinness World Records and was awarded a certificate for the most studio recordings (singles) for recording up to 11,000 solo, duet and chorus backed songs and in over 20 Indian Languages since 1947.
She was conferred with this honour at the Asian awards function held in London.
Asha Bhosle said “I feel like I have been finally internationally recognised for my efforts. I knew for a fact that my recorded songs were more than any other singer’s but Vishwas Nerurkar stepped in and compiled all of my songs and sent the accurate information to the Guinness Book of Records. He has made international recognition possible for me. I look forward to people’s love and recognition in my acting career as well and hope I am as successful on the silver screen as I am behind it.”
Asha Bhosle who continues to challenge herself anew will soon be making her big screen acting debut in the Hindi feature film ‘Maaee’ which is complete and ready for release.
The film is co-produced by Subhash Dawar of Alliance Entertainment and Nitin Shankar and is directed by Mahesh Kodiyal.
