Pakistan keen to take India dialogue forward

Indian High Commissioner Sharat Sabharwal Thursday called on Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar and discussed the issues of bilateral relations.
The foreign minister said that Pakistan sought friendly relations with India on the basis of mutual respect and equality. She added that Pakistan was keen to take the dialogue process forward in a sustained and result-oriented manner.
The Indian High Commissioner expressed satisfaction at the conclusion of the first round of resumed dialogue process. He stated that the Government of India was encouraged by the successful visits to India of foreign minister and Commerce minister in recent months. India was keen to take the process forward, he added.

    • who told you Pakistan is a "nation" ? It is just a tribe controlled by a rogue army. Whatever little it survived, is because of the impact of Hindu civilization, otherwise all their Arab forefathers could do is to invade and destroy and than destroy itself.

    • Only if the Brass-Heads' (in Pakistan) gave way. It's their (Kiyani-Pasha gang) career security, life-style, hold on power structure and Pakistan's resources that's in question. One more problem: is there any mature civilian political leadership in Pakistan to lead? Or, something like Musharaff, Zardari, Nawaz are the best available brand.

      For India, there won't be that kind of hangover (they are busy trying to come at par with China's economic development). Ruling political party gains. Hindu nationalists would kick and scream but loose. Because, they would get labeled as extremist (a hated designation in india).
