CJP for efficient judicial system

Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has said that a corruption free and efficient judicial system was must for rule of law.
Talking to a delegation of Islamabad High Court Bar Association, headed by its President Ch Muhammad Ashraf Gujjar and other office bearers and members who called on him on Thursday in the Supreme Court Building, Islamabad, he extolled the services rendered by Islamabad Bar for their profession.
The CJP appreciated Islamabad Bar as an active, experienced, committed and professional body, which played a vital role for the achievement of the cause of independence of judiciary, supremacy of Constitution and rule of law in country.
He said that their services and sacrifices would always be remembered and would always be a beacon, guiding new generations to stand by the judiciary in the time of need.
CJP said that along with Islamabad District Bar, Islamabad High Court Bar would also be treated as the Bar of the Supreme Court, and while lauding the role of young lawyers during the days of movement, he said the youngsters played a pivotal role for the cause of the justice, independence of judiciary and rule of law.
The delegation told him about their problems like shortage of chambers, judges, reference books at bar library, non-availability of canteen in court premises and shifting of court building to NIRC building etc.
The CJP assured them to take up the matter with concerned authorities, while they also put forward some suggestions on some legal issues, which the CJP assured to discuss at the National Judicial Policy Making Committee (NJPMC).

Sir… plz… infact u r the one who created difference among the salaries of Govt servants… a huge increase in Civil Judges’ salaries just to prevent corruption is a foolish step… it means other govt officials who r getting less salaries r allowed to njoy corruption… A strange decision by the CJP…….. n now expecting a corruption free system… ridiculous……
