A press conference was held at the Labour Party Office on Wednesday where speakers gathered to reveal their agenda concerning the Occupy Lahore Campaign against capitalists and landlords.
Inspired by the Occupy Wall Street Movement and the following Occupy London, Frankfurt, Rome and other places in the world, the Labour Party, and all other center-left parties in Lahore have decided to hold a two-day camp at Nasir Bagh on October 22. LPP leader Farooq Tariq, Advocate Naeem Zafar, Advocate Misha Rehman and Ammar Ali Jan from the Progressive Youth Front were present at the announcement. “We have joined in late in this movement, but it doesn’t matter as long as we do join in,” said Farooq about Pakistan’s role in the ‘Occupy movement’.
