The dengue virus claimed another eight lives in Punjab on Tuesday, with four of the deaths occurring in Lahore.
Another 274 patients were diagnosed with the deadly virus in the city on Tuesday.
Per details Musarrat, 60, Guddi Begum, 50, and Yousaf, 45, died of dengue at Services Hospital. Shaheen, 35, Shabbir Hussain, 55, Ejaz Ahmad, 70, and Adul Sattar, 65, lost their life at Jinnah Hospital, while a woman Raj Bibi, 60, died at Sheikh Zayed Hospital. The Punjab Health Department confirmed as many as 215 new dengue cases across Punjab during the last 24 hours, 125 belonging to Lahore alone.
