A ‘full court’ meeting of the Supreme Court chaired by Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on Monday decided that the apex court will not opt for two weekly holidays and continue working as before. The meeting, attended by all judges of the apex, unanimously resolved that the apex court judges would attend the court proceedings five days a week and the sixth day i.e. Saturday will be reserved for writing judgments, for which the presence of the staff was necessary.
Therefore, the court shall not opt for two holidays a week and continue working as before. The chief justice praised the services rendered by Justice Ghulam Rabbani who is going to lay his robes on October 19.
