Fazl urges PML-N to take opposition on board

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam chief Maulana Fazalur Rehman has said that PML-N should take decisions with the consultation of all opposition parties to assure consensus among them.
Addressing a joint meeting of provincial Shura and district Ameers of his party at Jamia Islamia here on Tuesday, he said the launching of campaign against government was the personal decision of PML-N. If it continued ‘solo flight’, then JUI-F would not comply with these kinds of decisions, he added.
“The JUI-F is the part and parcel of opposition. We want that all opposition parties should sit together and take important decisions collectively. But we are democratic people and we believe if obstacles are put in the way of democracy, then country could face any unpleasant incident,” he added.
After the meeting, he, while talking to journalists, said that threats from US or bringing its army near to Afghan border were not a new thing. The US wanted to take access to the nuclear arms of Pakistan by exerting pressure on it in the name of Haqqani’s network, he said further adding that time had come that Pakistan should quit the columns of NATO alliance.
He said the rulers were already proving logistic support to America and were fulfilling the agreements, signed during Musharraf’s regime, despite the fact that it was the decision of single a person and the sitting parliament had nullified the accords by adopting resolutions against them. He said the state of affairs would further worsen in case resolutions of joint parliament and APC were not implemented.
