CM to set up blood bank

Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shahbaz Sharif directed the chief secretary on Monday to consider the proposal of setting up a blood bank under public-private partnership and submit recommendations at the earliest in this regard. He said steps should also be taken to import ventilators by air to facilitate patients.
Referring to his visit to Aadil Hospital in Defence, the CM said taking notice of the patients’ complaints, that the Aadil Hospital administration should improve the arrangements within 24 hours. He said if elected representatives visited the hospitals regularly, the complaints would be redressed immediately. He said government scrap houses should be shifted from the city for the eradication of dengue.
