Govt indifferent to issues of KP, say PPP-S, PTI

PESHAWAR – The Pakistan People’s Party-Sherpao (PPP-S) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership on Sunday agreed to chalk out a ‘common ground’ for future meetings. During the meeting, PPP-S Provincial President Sikandar Hayat Khan Sherpao and PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) leaders including Asad Qaiser, Atif Khan and Shah Farman discussed the conditions prevailing in the province, including load shedding and increase in power tariffs.
Leaders of both parties agreed that KP was a major producer of electricity and yet it was faced with load shedding and increased power tariffs. They said that the province had sacrificed the most in the war against terror and was faced with grave economic situation as well but the federal government has been indifferent to the situation.
