Sindh Chief Secretary Raja Muhammad Abbas has called for effective implementation of the Integrated Mass Vaccination and Mother and Child Days Programme.
The programme aims to reach maximum affected population with life saving interventions and knowledge in the shortest possible time, according to a statement issued on Sunday. The chief secretary said that the programme remained functional in its first phase from October 7 to 10 in the districts of Hyderabad.
The main components of the programme include measures of immunisation, polio vaccine to the children under five years, measles vaccination for children from six months to 59 months of age and de-warming of every child – aged two to three years.
