The representatives of Federal Government College Teachers Association (FGCTA) have announced to take regular classes from Monday after announcement of teachers promotion by Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD).
Addressing a meeting of the association held on Saturday, Professor Zahid Ali Shah termed issuance of notification of teachers’ promotion through Time Scale Promotion Formula (TSPF) as a tremendous success of teachers who were rendering services to educate the young generations. He thanked PM Gilani for taking keen interest in issuance of notification. He also praised teachers as well as members of local and central body of FGCTA who participated in the protests to get their due right.
“The struggle and unity of teachers for their right has made the promotions of teachers possible,” he said. Zahid announced commencement of regular classes from Monday and said that the teachers will perform their duties according to schedule. Addressing the students of federal government colleges, he said, “Students are the future builders of nation and we realise their waste of time during protests and we will try to compensate them.”
