9 criminals nabbed in Karachi

At least nine criminals were rounded up during raids carried out by police in different parts of Karachi city here on Monday.
According to details, police arrested five notorious outlaws in an operation against criminal elements and recovered a cache of arms from their possession in Mehran Town area of Korangi.
Moreover, police claimed to have arrested three other criminals, and recovered arms and narcotics from their possession in Awami Colony area.
Police has registered separate cases against them and started investigation.
Meanwhile, residents of Mamoon Goht caught one outlaw who was accused of robbery during the act of crime, and later on handed him over to the police.
According to sources, three robbers were busy robbing a shop in the market in the said area, when locals gathered and captured one culprit, while two of his accomplices managed to escape from the scene.
