Islamia Jamiat Talaba’s (IJT) congregation commenced in the Punjab University (PU) on Saturday. It will continue until Monday and the PU will remain closed during the event. Thousands of students from different areas of the country participated in the event. National and international educational sessions and an educational expo have been organised by the IJT.
Representatives of Islamic movements and students organisations will also participate in the event. Traffic remained block on various roads around the new campus of PU as soon as the congregation commenced. Commuters faced inconvenience in order to reach their desired destinations. Buses filled with students from all over the city commuted to the PU campus throughout the day, disrupting routine traffic in the city.
