Two more dengue patients die in Lahore

The number of deaths caused by dengue epidemic in the city Saturday mounted to 210, as two more died of the diseased Saturday morning.
Both the deceased, Asad Mehmood, 62 and Khadija, 22, were being treated at Mayo Hospital here. Asad Mehmood belonged to Wasanpura and Khadija belonged to Chauhan Road area of the metropolis.
Meantime, presiding over a meeting held to eradicate the menace from the province, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif announced to give Rs 500,000 each to the bereaved families of the dengue victims.
Shahbaz Sharif said 18 dispensaries working under Labor Department had been made functional, adding these mobile dispensaries were catering medical care to the people at their doorsteps.
A training programme had been initiated for the training of general practitioners, private and trust hospitals, he added.
