LAHORE – The Punjab government has requested the Election Commission for a six months extension to hold the local body elections in the province. Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah told reporters that the government was requesting the extension because it was waiting for a new electoral list, besides the fact that two other provinces had also refused to conduct polls.
