Police and other law enforcement agencies launched an operation in Godhar Colony, Karachi on Friday and demolished the offices of Sunni Tehreek and other banned outfits, a private TV channel reported. Police also seized all literature and other items from the offices. The joint operation was launched in the area late at night by police, Frontier Corps (FC) and Rangers.
Certain houses were searched on tip-offs and no civilian was allowed to enter or leave the area, where a few people were arrested. Police did not disclose the identity of the arrested suspects, however. Some women protested against the demolition of the Sunni Tehreek office. MONITORING DESK
