The Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS)‘s annual theatre festival, the Dramafest, commenced on Friday and is to continue till Sunday. With Dramaline’s efforts, on the first day of the event, audience witnessed five plays, marking the start of the competition.
Students performed half-hour long plays, competing against each other, as the first day of the event stretched up to three hours.
“A total of 16 people teams will be taking part on all three days and there is to a competition between them, awards for which will be announced on Sunday,” said Dramaline Member Farwa Qasim. “This is a nationwide contest including higher education institutions like Indus Valley from Karachi, FAST and several other institutions,” she added.
The aim of the event is to provide a chance to amateur producers, writers, directors, and actors to display their talents. Participants and spectators from all over the country came to witness the theatrical display of various exceptional themes. Pakistan Today is the media partner for this he event.
