National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Friday approved to hike power tariffs by Rs. 3.04 per unit, a record hike in the national history.
The highest raise in power tariffs was approved for the month of August under monthly fuel adjustment, and will be applicable to all the electricity users, except the lifeline consumers.
According to the NEPRA sources, Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) had requested for hike of Rs. 3.06.
