In the light of the recent terrorist incident foiled by Islamabad police, they should be awarded and recognition should be given to them.
Not only individual recognition but also the overall importance of the police force should be realised by the administration. Police has remained a neglected department and the planned reforms have never been implemented seriously.
Even the budget allocated to the police is considered to be meagre. Perhaps it is time now as the country is under the threat of terrorism that these reforms should be implemented in the institution for the sake of the police themselves and the citizens.
