Seven more have fallen prey to the dengue epidemic during the last 24 hours of which six were from Lahore and one from Gujranwala. Talking to reporters on Wednesday at the King Edward Medical University (KEMU), Dr Muhammad Aslam Chaudhry, director general at Punjab Health Department, said the government was taking effective steps for the treatment of dengue patients and the elimination of the dengue mosquito.
As many as 299 confirmed dengue patients have been reported in Punjab during the last 24 hours, of which 272 belonged to Lahore. The total number of dengue patients in the province has risen to 16,021 with 13,783 from Lahore.
