The city’s District Coordination Officer (DCO) Roshan Ali Shaikh directed officers of the Master Plan Group of Offices (MPGO) on Wednesday to prepare a feasibility report of projects beneficial for the city. “These projects would be completed with assistance from international donor agencies,” he said while speaking at a meeting with MPGO officers at the Civic Centre. Executive District Officer (EDO) Master Plan Iftikhar Qaimkhani was also present on the occasion.
The DCO directed the officers to identify encroached land separately and clearly in a digital map so that the difference between regularised katchi abadis and encroachments can be highlighted. He also instructed the authorities concerned to accelerate the pace of work on the land allocated at the Northern Bypass for relocating the wholesale markets in the old city area. Earlier, giving detailed briefing about the master plan, the EDO master plan said that every plot and infrastructure has been covered at the union council and local level in the digital map.
