Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that the Punjab government is against two weekly offs, recommended by the federal cabinet to the Council of Common Interests (CCI).
He said the provincial government would present its stance in the meeting of CCI. “But we will accept whatever decision the CCI takes,” he said.
Petroleum Minister Dr Asim Hussain has also opposed the proposal. The Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) said the two weekly offs hurt the productivity of the economy in the past and the same would happen again.

  1. How the productivity of the economy will improve by working six days when there is no power to run machines? More power generation is the solution and in its absence it does not make any difference to work 5 or 6 days a week? I believe even 3 days a week work will give you same result as 6 days in the absence of required power.
