Qazi warns of ‘dire consequences’ if APC’s resolution not implemented

Former Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Qazi Hussain Ahmad has warned against strong public reaction if the decisions taken at All Parties Conference were not acted upon in their true spirit. Addressing a gathering at Al-Markaz-e-Islami on Tuesday he said the government should stop military operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA and Balochistan and should focus on the rehabilitation process by resorting to dialogue and to the local jirga. Pakistan JI Naib Ameer Siraj ul haq, Baluchistan JI Ameer Abdul Haq Hashmi, KP Ameer Shabir Ahmad Khan, FATA Ameer Sahibzada Haroon ur Rashid and other stalwarts of the party were present on the occasion.
Qazi said schools, colleges, religious seminaries, roads and health care units were rendered useless in the areas where an operation was being carried out just to keep America happy. Siraj ul Haq, Abdul Haq Hashmi, Professor Ibrahim in their speeches also dwelt on losses that occurred due military operations in various parts of the country and demanded that those rendered homeless be extended financial aid and all kinds of military operation in FATA be stopped. They also demanded that the Action in Aid of Civil Power regulations Act 2011 implemented in FATA be taken back.
