Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) have jointly submitted a privilege motion against the Unification Bloc parliamentary leader Dr Tahir Ali Javed in the Punjab Assembly.
According to media reports, Dr Tahir came up with the idea of dissolving the assembly and said that PML-N needed to take bold and aggressive steps to bar the PPP from gaining a majority in the upcoming Senate elections.
The motion, which carries signature of 108 PPP lawmakers and 29 Q-League members, terms Dr Tahir’s proposal to dissolve the assembly unconstitutional and undemocratic.
