A new case was registered against Mohajir Qaumi Movement (Haqiqi) Chairman Aafaq Ahmed on Monday, officials said. Police said Afaq Ahmed was accused for the kidnap and torture of four MQM workers and a FIR was registered against him at Landhi police station by Water Board employee Khalid Hussain.
The case was registered under the terrorism act and the anti-terrorism court (ATC) will hear the case, police said. Earlier on Thursday, just hours after the MQM rejoined the coalition government late on Wednesady, MQM-H chairman was arrested in the kidnap for ransom case for a 10-year old.
