The House witnessed another pandemonium on Monday when parliamentarians of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) levelled serious charges against each other citing Zulfiqar Mirza’s revelations and the arrest of Ayesha Ahad Malik.
Speaker Fehmida Mirza showed absolute neutrality when her husband Zulfiqar Mirza was being criticised, but adjourned the House when the debate went beyond the norms of decency. Speaking on a point of order, MQM’s Asif Husnain said Ayesha Ahad Malik, the alleged wife of Hamza Shahbaz, was being victimised by the Punjab government. Upon it, Sardar Mehtab Abbasi stood up with all PML-N lawmakers and protested, saying personal issues of parliamentarians should not be discussed in the House. Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Dr Farooq Sattar said a daughter of nation was being subjected to torture. “It is not the Punjab Assembly where things will proceed according to PML-N’s desires,” he said. Sattar said he was citing the remarks of the Lahore High Court chief justice on the Ayesha Malik case, adding that a case under Section 365 had been registered against her.
Ayesha Malik , daughter of former parliamentarian Ahad Malik, has claimed that she was married to Hamza Shahbaz Sharif and she had all evidences, including the video and documents of her marriage.
Reacting to Sattar’s comments, Abbasi asked the speaker to switch off Sattar’s microphone, saying they did not want to listen to such worthless things. As the heat between the two sides increased, PPP’s Chief Whip Syed Khurshid Shah stood up to pacify things, advising both parties to refrain from discussing personal matters in the House.
Shireen Arshad Khan of the PML-N asked the government to clarify its position on Zulfiqar Mirza’s revelations about the MQM. “Why are Dr Mirza’s revelations being ignored and the government not taking action against the criminals exposed by former Sindh interior minister?” she asked.
Responding to Shireen’s remarks, Waseem Akhtar of the MQM demanded the federal and Sindh governments to arrest Zulfiqar Mirza under MPO. “Mirza has lost his mental equilibrium … he is hell bent on destroying the hard-earned peace of Karachi,” he said, asking the president and prime minister to rein in Mirza. On Waseem’s speech, the PML-N lawmakers chanted slogans of ‘Bhatta Khor…Bhatta Khor’ (extortionists) slogans.
Captain (r) Safdar asked the MQM parliamentarians to refrain from indulging in the politics of mud-slinging and discussing personal issues in the House. “If others bring such matters in the House, we will be compelled to reveal documents, photos and even videos of the opponents which are secured with us,” he said.
Bushra Gohar of the ANP said the Ayesha Malik issue was a case of domestic violence, not just a personal matter. Qudsia Arshad of the PML-N paid tribute to Zulfiqar Mirza. She said the former provincial interior minister had unveiled the truth.
In response, MQM’s Sajid Ahmed said his party was just raising the case of an oppressed woman. “I do not like to utter the name of the man who is being paid tribute by the PML-N … he is a drunkard… he and his armed men killed Urdu-speaking people in Lyari,” he said.

  1. All the parlimentarians are selfish and senseless illitrates.the country is suffering from unemployment, loadshedding and other diseases while they are discussing non-issues in assembly.the poor pakistanis are living from hands to mouth whereas the corrupt and doshonest politicians and their families are enjoying every moment of their life in five stars hotels and cool houses.

  2. We all know that how much colorful nature Shahbaz Sharif has got and not only he is extremely fond of beauties of Lahore, he is also very much interested other activities. So now the junior Sharif is also following the same footsteps with a bang.
Hamza Shahbaz Sharif is also purported to be the next provincial leader of PML-N in Punjab or may be the competitior of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in Islamabad for the premiership. Hamza Shahbaz is known to be of fiery nature and he has now in the limelight with the name of Ayesha Ahad. According to the media news, the Lahore High Court Division Bench headed by Chief Justice Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhry Friday admitted Ayesha Ahad Malik, the daughter of former MPA, Ahad Malikl, to bail in a case registered with the Defence Women Police Station on the complaint of a Philippines lady for allegedly kidnapping her son Joseph for ransom on September 27.
Now Ayesha is saying that she is being political victimized by the Hamza Shahbad and she wants justice. MQM has raised this issue and this has to be followed up. Chief Justice must take suo moto notice of this.

  3. Hamza Shabaz Sharif should not be given a free ticket to exploit women as he has done with Aiyesha Ahad Malik who claims to be his legitimate wife. The character of Sharifs is all too blemished with such dirts of multiple marriages due to their illegally accumulated wealth. Courts must call Hamza Shabaz Sharif and decide this family matter for the good of both individuals and their family. If there was a a slight grace in Hamza Shahbaz Sharif,he could have solved the issue privately but they behave like mafias in Punjab.

  4. Where we will end. Do we have real feeling as a nation where we are going ? We, as individual may servive but as pakistani nation, time is critical. We are in crisis. Weak links of national chain are under stress. For God sake, think where we stand. Do some thing positive as a contribution from your side. Be sure, things will not contimue as they are. We are like stinking standing water. Hamza Shahbaz has ever right to live his style of life but if Aiyesha Ahmad Malik is there and raising her voice people have the right to ask what is right? Dont talk, dont ask, these are personal issues, will not solve the the issue. Where as MQM will have to reply for the killing of innocent people in karachi, their right to stand with the oppressed people of the country can not be bargained by PML (N).

  5. A "Lawa" is heating up in public against Army , Politician and establishment ( all are Badmash ) and they are own advantages not for other. they are ignorant and even want to keep themself ignorant but nature is study as it happens in history, when decision will come alive by the authority of almighty no one will survive. Being an awam i would say army role should be limited please leave these "badmash" for mob justice. soon very soon.
