An anti terrorism court (ATC) on Monday ordered police to conduct a medical examination of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leader Ahad Malik’s daughter Ayesha Malik and submit a report on Oct 14. The court issued the order while allowing Ayesha Malik’s petition of Ms. Malik alleging Defence A police station personnel subjected her to torture during an illegal physical remand in connection with a kidnap case. She asked the court to constitute a medical board to conduct her medical checkup to prove torture by police. A Philipino woman got a case registered with Defence-A police and accused Ayesha Malik of kidnapping her son for ransom. An ATC judge had granted ten-day physical remand of Malik which was later suspended by Lahore High Court for being unlawful. The LHC ordered inquiry against the judge for granting the remand without applying juridical reasoning.
