Faiz enthusiasts will be able to read his work in Sindhi

The provincial Culture Department approved six development schemes on Sunday that would cost Rs 184.51 million, including the translation of books written by the famous Urdu poet, Faiz Ahmed Faiz, from Urdu to Sindhi language.
The schemes were approved in a meeting of Departmental Development Working Party (DDWP) of the Culture Department chaired by Culture Secretary Abdul Aziz Uqaili, according to a statement.
The schemes would be executed under the Annual Development Programme.
The meeting approved the renovation of the Bhit Shah Cultural Complex with Rs 60 million and establishment of an open-air theatre in Larkana at a cost of Rs 59.90 million.
Four other schemes approved include translation of books written by Faiz Ahmed Faiz into Sindhi language with Rs 6.473 million, publication of books written by renowned Sindhi scholar Dr Nabi Bux Baloch, printing of unpublished books on Culture costing Rs 27.296 million and documentation of Sughar Katcheri and printing of books at a cost of Rs 10.22 million. Moreover, five other development schemes was also approved that would cost Rs 105 million.
