Man burnt by lover, her husband, dies

A woman and her husband burnt alive a man who was allegedly her beau on Friday night who passed away on Saturday morning in the Kot Lakhpat Police precincts.
According to the police, Rehana, a mother of two, had an affair with fruit vendor Bilal, who resided in the same area. Police said that neighbours informed police of Bilal and Rehana’s illicit relations despite Rehana being married. The father of the victim said that Rehana was known to be promiscuous in the neighbourhood and suspected that Rehana, in order to hide her side of the story, made a plan with her husband to kill Bilal. Neighbours claimed that Rehana called Bilal to her house on Friday night and with the help of her husband had tied Bilal’s hands, feet and set him ablaze and threw him out on the street. Neighbours took the 20-year-old to hospital where he passed away on Saturday morning. A case has been registered against Rehana and her husband while investigation was in process.
ROBBERY: A man was shot dead while another was injured resisting a robbery in the Chungh Police precincts on Saturday. According to details, Umair and Tariq who were originally residents of Okara, were approached by robbers in the Chungh Police precincts while they were traveling back to Okara on a motorcycle. The unidentified men demanded cash and Tariq retaliated. The robbers shot at them and Tariq died on the spot while Umair was rushed to hospital. The unidentified men extracted Rs 3,000 from the victims and fled. Police registered a case against the perpetrators and the body of the deceased was shifted to the city morgue for autopsy.
ACCIDENT: A 50 year old man, originally a resident of Rawalpindi, was crushed by a speeding van in the Nawakot Police precincts. According to details, Mir Amjad was hit by a speeding van in the Nawakot area. The deceased had arrived in Lahore for some work. Amjad was hit while crossing a road and rushed to hospital where he passed away. The van driver after hitting Amjad fled. Police searched his pockets and found his ID card and contacted his relatives in Rawalpindi. A case has been registered against the van drive while the body of the deceased was shifted to the city morgue for autopsy.
