Former legendary Beatles member Sir Paul McCartney is set to marry for the third time to US heiress Nancy Shevell in London today. The 69-year-old bass guitarist will tie the knot to the 51-year-old US resident after four years of relationship at London’s Marylebone Register Office, the same place where he married his late first wife Linda in 1969. McCartney’s daughter Stella personally designed the wedding dress for the bride, who is heir to a 250 million pounds haulage empire.
“Paul has found happiness at last and can’t wait to marry Nancy. The rest of the family love her and are thrilled she’s made their dad so happy,” the Sun quoted a source as saying. The newlyweds also plan a second ceremony next week in the Hamptons area of Long Island, New York, where they fell in love in 2007.
