The City District Government Karachi (CDGK) has started beautification work along the Shahrah-e-Faisal after declaring it ‘model corridor’ of the city. Under the plan, repair of road and maintenance of pavements with tree plantation will be carried out from the Karachi airport’s Jinnah Terminal to the State Guest House. On a visit to Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi District Coordination Officer (DCO) Roshan Ali Shaikh had directed Municipal Services (MS), Works and Services (W&S) and Parks and Horticulture (P&H) departments of the city government to carry out immediate repairs and beautification works along the corridor and make it a ‘model corridor’ in the city. Following the directives, W&S executive district officer (EDO) Altaf G Memon, MS EDO Dr Shaukat Zaman and P&H Director General Liaquat Ali Khan have started repair work and beautification along the road.

  1. Every thing is unique in Pakistan, all road sides including Shahrah-e-Faisal is now charged parking zone. If you want to park your vehicle on the road you have to pay a fee of Rs.10 to 30. Time has come for Car importers to import cars that can fly to park on the buildings roof or invisible cars otherwise you have to pay tax (Bhatta to CDGK). I do not understand why government try to easing the life of people instead of making it miserable.
