PML-Q Senator Nilofar Bakhtiar has decided to part ways with PML-Q and sit on opposition benches.
Defiant over the government policies PML-Q ministers had submitted their resignations with their party leader Ch Shujaat and were all set to part ways with the government, however after a meeting between President Asif Ali Zardari and Ch Shujaat, the PML-Q was back into alliance with the government and the ministers were told to take back their resignations.
According to sources, Nilofar Bakhtiar, along with several other senior members of the party, were concerned over the varying party policies with respect to forming alliance with the government.
Talking to Online, Nilofar Bakhtiar confirmed that she has submitted papers with the Senate Secretariat to sit on opposition benches. She said that main reason for her decision was due to disagreement with party policies.
She complained that the party leaders of PML-Q were not taken on board regarding the party policies and under the current circumstances it was not possible for her to become part of government alliance, therefore she has decided to part ways with party.
She said government is passing through tough phase and the problems of the masses are multiplying. She also warned that if correct decisions are not taken immediately then the problems of the country would further intensify.
