National Women’s Karate C’ship from today

The Shaheed Benazir Bhutto seventh National Women’s Karate Championship will begin here at WAPDA Sports Complex from today.
The opening ceremony of the championship will be held at 12:00pm. Forvil Cosmetics CEO Kashif Zia will be the chief guest on the occasion. The teams from all the affiliated units of the Pakistan Karate Federation Army, WAPDA, Railways, Police, Punjab, Sindh, KP, Balochistan, Islamabad and HEC will take part in the championship, which will be contested in individual kumite in 45, 50, 55, 61, 68 and Above 68 kgs categories, team kumite, individual kata and team kata.
Pakistan women’s karate team for participating in the first South Asian Karate Championship will be selected in the championship.
The closing ceremony will held on Sunday at 4:00pm. Punjab Governor Sardar Muhammad Latif Khan Khosa will be the chief guest on the occasion and will give away trophies and prizes to the winners.
