Two-day youth theatre festival in Larkana from 8th

A two-day youth theatre festival will start in Larkana from October 8, Sindh Youth Affairs Minister Jam Madad Ali Khan said on Wednesday.
The purpose of the festival is to provide youngsters with a platform for expressing themselves as well as the revival of theatre,” he said while presiding over a meeting at his office.
The event is being organised by the Youth Affairs Department in collaboration with the district government of Larkana and the local chapter of the Arts Council of Pakistan.
Ali maintained that no worthwhile efforts have been made for the promotion of the performing arts in the country so far.
He directed that the performance of youngsters participating in the festival should be determined on the basis of merit in order to encourage the talented ones. Provincial Youth Affairs Director Khurshid Ali Shaikh informed the participants of the meeting that forms are being issued for participation in the festival and registration has started.
Forms can be obtained from Arts Council of Pakistan Larkana from 10 am to 6 pm.
The first position-holder will be given a cash prize of Rs 25,000. The second and third positions would carry prizes of Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000, respectively.
