Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) legislators walked out from the National Assembly on Wednesday to protest against the prolonged blackouts and to show solidarity with protesting MNAs from Balochistan against the unrest and sectarian killings in the province. Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said parliamentarians from various political parties, including the ruling Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), protested outside the parliament against increasing sectarian killings in Balochistan. Khan said the electricity deficit was a national issue in addition to the law and order situation in Balochistan, which had made people’s lives miserable. Some legislators from PML-Quaid also joined the walkout.
