Sindh Chief Secretary Raja Mohammed Abbas has directed the officials of Karachi Urban Transport Corporation (KUTC) to chalk out a strategy for the revival of Karachi Circular Railway (KCR).
According to a statement issued on Wednesday, the chief secretary held a meeting with KUTC Managing Director Ijaz Khilji and asked him to remove hindrances in the revival of the KCR.
He also said that the Japanese International Coordination Agency (JICA) should be approached for the project’s consultancy, documentation and feasibility study. The chief secretary also sought a report of the Services and General Administration and Coordination Department.
