Ten people were injured in two separate clashes in the city on Wednesday. Six people were injured in a clash between the Raees Khan and Mohibullah groups at Khushhal Chowk of Machhar Colony. The injured were shifted to the Jinnah hospital. Tension and fear gripped the area while people were compelled to remain indoors due to the heavy exchange of fire.
Separately, four people suffered bullet injuries in a clash between two groups – allegedly both affiliated with the Awami National Party (ANP) over the ownership of a flat. Members of both groups opened fire on each other and Azeem alias Asad, Razaq alias KK, Haneef alias Mama and Ajmal were injured. They were shifted to a private hospital. The spokesman for the ANP, Abdul Qadir Khan said that both groups have no ties with his party.
TWO KILLED: Unidentified people sprayed a man with bullets at the Five Star Chowrangi. The body was shifted to the Jinnah hospital.In another case, police found the body of murdered man in the jurisdiction of the Risala police station and shifted it to the Jinnah hospital.
RANGERS ARREST THREE: The Pakistan Rangers arrested three alleged criminals and recovered arms and ammunition from their possession in raids conducted during the last 48 hours.
A spokesperson for the Pakistan Rangers said on Wednesday that raids were conducted in various areas including Bhittaiabad, Gulzar-e-Hijri, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Kharadar, Bihar Colony, Baldia Town, Gadap and other areas.
During the raids, the Rangers arrested three men and recovered 14 sophisticated weapons, small arms, thousands of rounds of live ammunition and drugs.
They recovered a kidnapped man from a torture cell in Lyari.
