Interior Minister Rehman Malik told the Parliamentary Committee on Law and Order Situation in Balochistan and Karachi that all nationalist groups involved in insurgency in Balochistan and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) are being supported by India to create instability in Pakistan, a source told Pakistan Today.
The in-camera meeting of the committee, held with Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Khushaid Shah in the chair, was briefed about law and order situation in the province of Balochistan by the interior minister. The home secretary of Balochistan and additional IG police also attended the meeting.
According to the source, the committee was informed that Baloch nationalist groups like Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), Baloch Republican Army (BRA), Baloch People’s Liberation Front (BPLF), Popular Front for Armed Resistance (PFAR) and Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) and TTP were involved in insurgency and deteriorating law and order situation in the province.
Later, talking to media, Malik said he had presented proofs of foreign involvement in Balochistan, adding that assassinations had decreased but sectarian killings had increased over the recent months. He also added that Lashker-e-Jhangvi (LJ) was involved in sectarian killings of Hazara community and Punjab government had been told to arrest Malik Ishaq and other leaders of the LeJ. He further said if the Punjab government failed to arrest them, the Interior Ministry would.
He also added that government of Pakistan had succeeded in getting Baramdagh Bugti expelled from Afghanistan and it helped decrease insurgency in the province. He also told the committee that Gazan Maurree and Harbyar Murree were set to announce the independence of Balochistan on August 14 but they were kept from doing so.

  1. "Malik said he had presented proofs of foreign involvement in Balochistan" To whom ? when ? ahhaha whatever the world says about Pakistan, Pakistan will say same.

  2. It is very easy to blame INDIA or some other country for the Baluchistan crisis. In fact the govt, has failed to restore peace in that part of the country. Both INDIA and PAKISTAN accuse each other for any terrorist activity inside their territory as people mindset believes it immediately. It makes the task of the investigating agencies easy to close the file. But ,the present investigating journalism of the media discloses the facts behind each story.
Blame game will not solve the problem, it may aggravate and then ? Use of force does not provide a stable solution, we should look for a peaceful political settlement as early as possible. Our enemies are looking for an opportunity and our delay in solving the present crisis will provide them the opportunity, they are looking for.
Killing of innocent Baluchi people,( whoever the killer is,) is creating sense of insecurity among tjhe Baluchi people and govt seems to be doing nothing positive in this regard.

  3. India is too busy making money. While Pakistan is busy in terror activities,India is uplifting its people through its economy.People in India dont have time for jihad, politics, fighting but they have time to earn money and to do that they struggle, study, train. In the other side of the border people are busy doing "timepass" and going in the streets burning Indian and American flags and shouting "go america go".

  4. Pakistan stands for Punjab, Afghania, Kashmir and Sindh. there is no B in Pakistan . Baluchistan got freedom from the British on Aug 11th 1947. Pakistan occupied Baluchistan in 1948. free Baluchistan.

  5. of course, Its always India with the pakis. And this malik guy always speaks the truth. Didi'nt he say OBL was not in pakistan???? Only thing is no one is even listening. India is a rising world power and these guys cant handle this. so pathetic!!!

  6. For Once,if the pakistan ISI and army just focus on economy and uplifting its people instead of bloody politics and leave the afghans alone in their world then pakistan would go far ahead.India will not wage war with Pakistan. It does not have the time!We could have done that in 2002,2008 and anytime. The people in India have realised in wars you dont gain anything at all-simply bloodshed in both "mulks".Introspect a bit Pakistani people as to why in 2002 China's business with India was $2 billion dollars and in 2011 its $61 billion dollars.China? We went to war with China remember? In 1961!Why cant Pakistanis do the same?Your business with China is only $9 billion dollars and China is "supposed"to be your all weather freind????.Its Economy that win battles not War!

  7. I am not invading Pakistan, the problem is on the Afghan side every General will tell you, bad governance, corruption, failure to protect civilians etc that is why the Taliban are relevant and a alternative. If the Taliban are not relevant, the safe havens are not important as the Talib do not have the support in Afghanistan. Use the current superpower US to destroy your enemy Pakistan, further weaken the superpower and remove an ally of China, Pakistan weakening China, clearing the flank.
