The Pakistan Muslim League-N has announced to stage sit-in outside the President House on Thursday.
“From now onwards, our national manifesto is to awake or remove the government,” said Opposition Leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, while the government announced that all protesters would be treated as guests and they would be served soft drinks. Talking to reporters, Nisar criticised the government bitterly, saying the government had failed on all fronts while the public was starving for the electricity and no strategy has been made to curb this ongoing power crisis across the country.
Interior Minister Rehman Malik welcomed PML-N’s announcement and said that the protesters would be their guests and soft drinks would be served to them if they would stage a peaceful protest.
Information Minister Firdous Ashiq Awan said that PML-N’s mindset was a poisonous for the democracy; the president was a symbol of the federation and he shall not be made a target. During next 24 hours, it will be revealed that who has filled air in the balloon of the PML-N, former minister Babar Awan said.
The PML-N should install a protest camp against the Punjab chief minister, instead of staging a sit-in outside the presidency.
