Opposition leader in Punjab Assembly Raja Riaz Ahmed said the Punjab government was responsible for the deaths caused by the dengue virus and a case must be registered against Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif for negligence.
Talking to media at the Punjab Assembly premises on Tuesday, Raja Riaz Ahmed said the CM Punjab not only lacked a majority but he was the fake ruler of the province. He said rather than pointing fingers at the PPP government, the PML-N leadership should first mend its own ways and provide answers for the devastating dengue outbreak which had so far claimed over 150 lives.
Commenting over PML-N President Nawaz Sharif’s criticism of President Zardari, Raja Riaz said Nawaz had a history of not accepting the elected leadership of the country, including Benazir Bhutto as Prime Minister, and now Zardari as President. He said Nawaz Sharif must give a long march call against his own government in Punjab which had pushed the entire province towards chaos.
He alleged that a committee had been constituted by the Punjab government under Hamza Shahbaz which was devising protests in Punjab and police was playing the role of silent spectator. Meanwhile, PPP MPAs including Shaukat Mehmood Basra, Sajida Mir, Faiza Malik and others staged a protest against Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif and demanded his resignation.
Actually Shahbaz brought the dengue germs in his pocket from abroad. I have yet to see a sensible statement from RAJA SAHIB.——— Thora bolo , acha bolo——it is high time that he learns to differentiate between right and wrong, otherwise he will be thrown out of the assembly by his voters.
NO comment has been given since I wrote on this news story, it proves that no one listens to RAJA SAHIB, people are looking for good and sensible statements.
Unfortunately, both the PPP and PML-N have gone back to era of 80's when both the parties were blood thirsty of each other.
I wish they learn to live with each other as they were since the signing of COD until recently.
Raja Riaz's statement is ludicrous and defies all imaginations.
