110,000 Pakistan Cards issued to flood victims: NADRA

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has issued 110,000 Pakistan Cards to eligible heads of the rain affected families in Sindh so far, said a press release issued by NADRA on Wednesday.
The Pakistan Cards have a cash tab of Rs 20,000 in two equal cash installments of Rs 10,000 each. NADRA has set up 31 centers for processing and issuance of Pakistan Cards in nearly all major flood-hit districts including Badin, Shaheed Benazir Abad, Mirpur Khas, and Tando Muhammad Khan while preparations are underway for opening of additional sites in Tando Muhammad Khan and new centers in Sangarh. “We are working with the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) and government of Sindh to expedite the process of opening more centers, as we deploy communication networks, implement biometric solutions and install hardware on sites local administration make available for us”, NADRA Deputy Chairman Tariq Malik said in the statement.
