Veteran politician and former Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan Ameer Qazi Hussain Ahmad called on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Barrister Masood Kausar at the Governor House on Monday and discussed matters regarding the reforms process in Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA). Welcoming the extension of the Political Parties Act in FATA, Hussain paid rich tributes to the governor for his keen interest and the achievements in making this possible.
He also welcomed the governor’s proposal to initiate a consultation process and assured due support and cooperation in this respect. Talking on this occasion, the governor said a conference of the political parties of the country including their representatives from FATA was being arranged at the Governor’s House, Peshawar within the next couple of weeks to seek their views regarding the process of reforms in FATA and to ensure a better outcome of the steps. “I am already in touch with representatives of leading political parties and have found their comments and response highly encouraging in this respect,” he said.
