America in need of a scapegoat

The US is yet again in headings with their whacking remarks against Pakistan. The next episode of devised plot to defame Pakistan’s spy agency and military has been released. This time the US top brass is weaving ISI link with Haqqani network, the same Haqqani group which was once the apple of American’s eye. Nevertheless, yes it is a matter of time, at that time it was obligatory to clinch them and now it’s requisite to ditch them. At that time it was needed to knock down USSR and now it is necessary to lift up the plummeting reputation of Obama administration which has collapsed in the whirl of economic crisis.

It is awfully factual to declare that the Obama administration has been stuck up in several adversities and at a time when next elections seems skipping off the hands, Obama’s party is in need of a scapegoat to throw all the junk, which in reality they have done in the due time.

Frittering a decade in Afghanistan and daunting economic crisis is pushing the superpower to run away from Afghanistan. The recent three extravagant attacks, beginning with the downing of a Chinook carrying a seal team, the suicide attack that injured 70 US troops, both in Maydan Wardag and the Kabul attack evidently speak about the sturdy loss of control on area by the Afghan government and the foreign troops. All these attacks took place deep inside Afghanistan, which is obviously quite away from North Waziristan.

The attack on US embassy and a NATO headquarter in Kabul by some terrorist reminds the Naval Base attack as the recent Kabul assailant were also quite trained and hard-hitting like Naval Base terrorists, Kabul attackers too gave a tough time of twenty hours to American soldiers. Consequently US also fall under all the allegations which Pakistan faced for Naval Base. Perhaps, the US is more accountable and questionable as being a superpower, having best technologies and strict counter measures. After all how the truck exploded such an important place without being checked by NATO forces. These verities are pressurising US, western media and people are questioning US that we are spending billions of dollars on our army but are we still incompetent to halt the entrance of terrorist in Kabul, to save our embassies from their attacks and to knock them down in minimum time?

It’s not only the financial crisis which is halting US but the frustration and anger of the American soldiers in Afghanistan that has reached its premier peak. In fact, the series of attacks against US and NATO has badly stunned the morale of American soldiers, besides it has embarrassed the US military and their spy agencies which failed to defend the lives of their diplomats and soldiers.

The US is actually in need of a scapegoat, what makes this argument more truthful is that US has not presented any proof which can hold Pakistan responsible for its suspected links to Haqqani group. It is also needed to be discussed whether Haqqani group is the only problem in Afghanistan. The US needs to move to other options which can prove to be productive in order to tackle the issues rather than merely pressurising Pakistan for opening a new war front.
