A prisoner at the Peshawar Central Jail committed suicide by jumping into a well on Sunday, official sources said. Ajab Khan, 85-year-old and mentally unstable was a convicted prisoner in Case 302. He jumped into the well inside the jail when doors of the barracks were opened in the morning. He was taken to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Peshawar District and Session Judge Zia-ud-Din constituted an inquiry commission into the incident, appointing Magistrate Malik Hasnain as the commission’s head.
