Is defence minister aware of what’s going on behind his back?

Despite the fact that the city has been rocked by terrorist attacks in recent times, the security officials of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) do not appear to be bothered about the airport traffic police parking lifted vehicles behind the sensitive zone of the old terminal.
“Many vehicles lifted from Shahrah-e-Faisal are parked there every day and if the traffic police are not restricted immediately by the aviation authority, it may lead to a disaster,” employees at the old terminal told Pakistan Today. “What if one of the lifted vehicles is planted with explosives?” they raised the question.
The parking space is located behind the office of the defence minister at the old terminal and is vulnerable to a terrorist attack due to frequent VVIP movements.
The defence minister, being the chairman of the Pakistan International Airlines, holds several meetings there.
The president, prime minister, chief justice of Pakistan, parliamentarians and foreign dignitaries also move through the area on a regular basis.
Recently, the defence ministry has ordered the CAA to improve the security arrangements at the airports of the country expressing concern over the authority’s poor measures.
However, the use of a sensitive place as parking space for lifted vehicles shows that the CAA is not keen on improving security at the airports, both for passengers and government officials.
