Army, Afghanistan, UMT and DHA Black won their matches in the opening day of the Azadi Cup Rose Petel seven’s Tournament on Saturday and all toped their respective pools and go through to the quarter-finals. The other teams to make it to the next round were Police, Lahore Garrrisonions. Saturday was the first day of the two day rugby tournament hosted by the Punjab Rugby Association under the auspices of the Pakistan Rugby Union and the Punjab Olympic Association. Today will be the final day of the event. Pakistan Olympic Association President Gen Arif Hasan will be the chief guest on the occasion. On the final day two events will be contested one the Rose Petal seven’s and then the Azadi Servis Cup 15s final.
