A 17-year-old girl, Maham, a resident of Laddy Shah, committed suicide over domestic issues in Shahdra Town Police precincts on Sunday. According to the police, Maham, after having a quarrel with her mother, swallowed poisonous pills. She was rushed to the hospital but she could not survive. The police have handed over her body to her family.
ACCIDENT: Two people died while one was injured in a road accident in Ghalib Market Police precincts on Sunday. The deceased were identified as Waheed Arshad, 23, and Muhammad Afzal, 22, while the injured one as Imtiaz Saleem.
Waheed, a resident of Okara and a student of Gulberg Government Degree College Special Education, was crossing the main boulevard when a bike hit him. Waheed and two bike riders, Afzal and Imtiaz, were injured. They were rushed to a nearby hospital where Waheed and Afzal died. The bodies have been handed over to their respective families.
PRISONER DIED: A 35-year-old camp jail prisoner died in Services Hospital on Sunday.
The deceased, identified as Riaz, a resident of Islampura, was arrested for kidnapping and raping an 11-year-old girl. On Sunday, his condition became critical and jail officials shifted him to Services Hospital where he expired. Shadman Police shifted the deceased’s body to the city morgue for autopsy.
