Qadri given death sentence in Salman Taseer murder case

Mumtaz Qadri has been given death sentence for murdering Governor Punjab Salman Taseer.
Qadri said that he killed Taseer because he (Salman Taseer) made blasphemous comments.
“I killed the governor because he was supporting a blasphemer and demanding the repeal of blasphemy laws,” said Mumtaz Qadri.
Qadri, a police constable was deputed with the governor as part of his security team. On 4th January in Islamabad, while on duty of protecting Governor Punjab, Qadri shot him from a close range.

  1. Hang him immediately before he sneaks out of jail in mysterious circumstances. There should be no killings in the name of religion or certain beliefs. Set an example.

Punjab’s slain governor Salman Taseer had refused to accept that Pakistani society is no more a society of rational people; it is a jungle where you have to accept the command of those capable of killing. You must bow down to them or get perished. Period. The world was in shock at the gory incident but it fails to understand the fact that the act was being glorified by those elements who claim to profess a religion of peace. This was the most disgusting thing, more than the murder itself. And look at the attitude of the lawyers, the so-called custodians of “rule of law” who kissed and garlanded the accused when he was brought to the court. These are all very disturbing signs.   9. He should b punished by law accordingly.i think there is no forgiveness 4 murder.hwever, further steps 4 dat issue should b taken meditatively.

  11. Mumtaz Qadri deserved death sentence. In fact, those who glorified & garlanded him also deserve exemplary punishment. When a cruel man like Qadri is praised, we must understand the extent of decay in our society.

    Salman Taseer was a great man. He paid the ultimate price of speaking in support of amending a law which is being widely misused. The tragedy is that those accused of blasphemy are not blasphemers. Blasphemers are those who level such accusations and misuse a black law framed by despicable Zia who specialised in exploiting the name of Islam. Such characters are actually the ones who create wrong perceptions about Islam. Islam being a religion of peace is beauty par excellence. As muslims, it is our duty to present its true picture to the world. Unfortunately, the mullahs and pirs have almost monopolised our religion. Allama Iqbal very rightly said : Din-i-Mullah Fasaad Fi Sabilillah.

    • Every LAW in Pakistan is broken… This was broken for a GOOD Cause… so Stop your verbal diariah… you people make me SICK…. Either follow ALL laws Hang ALL criminals or Don't bulshit about people who actually did something that wasn't ALL that BAD…..

Do you think your justification that since every law is broken in Pakistan, you should continue breaking laws to add to the mess makes Any sense? That's why Pakistan is at this crossroads, because of people who think like you. Where does it say that killing another Muslim like this goes towards a GOOD cause? You're legitimizing murder for some emotional hooplah?

        If you can't fathom that, think of it this way, do you want your children to learn what you portray? That murder is good as long as it's for a good cause. You will support this barbarism as far as it's not your household being affected by it. On the contrary, people like you should be sick of yourselves! We are all Muslims and this is Not the religion preached to us by our God, our Prophet and our ancestors. Islam is a religion of peace and forgiveness yet we have left all of that behind and hopped on the killing-spree bandwagon.

    Quote me example from history where people didnot moulded laws to be exploited. Like i said before, many people of the view that law should be upheld and salman could have been trialed in the court. Lets get serious about it for a minute! Are you serious or your kidding? Asia bibi who confessed her blasphemy in the court was being trialled for quite sometime now. Salman taseer came out of nowhere for a divine help, without drawing the line of stepping outside the aesthetic parameters of faith. And yet he stepped ahead and stood arrogant and met his faith.
    Mumtaz qadri is a hero or a villain irrespectively, he set an example in similar fashion of ghazi ilm deen in last century. Salman has asked for it and Mumtaz has reached his destination.
    Lets hope for peace and stay away from fitna amin. In my personal opiion Mumtaz has stand tall. I wouldnt doubt mumtaz decision to snap salman away since he has been relaying with salman on this case with too long and i would rather personally rely on mumtaz judgement to take him out. Since he was near to salman rather me sitting 100 kms away from salman without any personal or professional access.

  23. In my opinion the decision was right because he only asked for amendments in the law. As we can see some people use it against the Non-Muslims and that's not what our Islam teaches us. Setting an example was necessary but alas some insane people have ruined the motive behind it. We no longer deserve to be called humans…..

  24. Our only problem is in case of religion we don't think, we don't consult Quran, Hadiath and Shariah. Instead we go about killing people. I must request all that first learn and understand what Islam is don't embarrass your own religion.

    • All those who say that the decision of the so called court is wright.Ok then why the Ramond Davis was excluded.Was he above the law.Really those who support the court decision ,they are people who like to do Zeena with their sisters and mothers.Upon this nothing can be said

      • In case of Raymond Davis our government went weak in making a right decision. And no one has any right to say that that those who are in favor of the decision are ones who did zeena with their mothers or sisters. There were people who were against Prophet (SAWW) but He didint went out to kill them. We need to educate people about the religion correctly. We have a sick mentality because of some fake maulvis who know nothing about Islam.

  26. I think those who favoured Salman taseer and favoured what lawfully decided will be critisized as blasphemous and will be treated as anti Muslims.And are to killed at the earliest as per the farman of fatvas.Then als the religin will be called Peace loving!

Could u plz tell me which law ur talking about this is Pakistan my freinds and u know better there is different for poor person and different law for the powerful person, power is in any sense in a sense of worth or power of reference and support. So its fact we do not allow anybody to talk even a word which goes to against the Quran. This is the very critical issue ALLAH knows better how is no right.

    Anyone who supports the sin is same as he is also committing the same sin.

    Judge who has given this decision should be hanged and he is fleeing from his home to spare his life.
