Parties from Hazara dissociate from Tehreek-e-Suba Hazara

Representatives of several political parties belonging from Hazara region announced on Saturday that they would part their ways with the founder and leader of Tehreek-e-Suba Hazara, Baba Haider Zaman, saying that he wanted to merge the movement into a political party which they said was “unjustified”.
Speaking at a press conference here at National Press Club (NPC), the chairman of a new party, Suba Hazara Tehreek, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf said Baba was trying to use the sacrifices of the Hazara people for political gains.
Yousaf was accompanied by representatives of other political parties including PML-N, PPP, JUI-F and JUI.
He said the political point-scoring while exploiting the sacrifices of one’s own people was great injustice and that they would not let that happen.
Replying to a question, Yousaf said; “The movement for a new province for Hazara people will continue until it is materialised.”
He said there was a great need for the Hazara province
He criticised Baba Zaman’s choosing the name of Tehreek-e-Subah Hazara as his party name, observing that it could jeopardize the very movement for which the party was established.
“We may have been affiliations with various political parties but we are united for a separate province,” he added.
All the leaders present on the occasion said the matter of a separate province for had been discussed on high levels and that all the people belonging to Hazara should be united for their common cause. They said that demands of Seraikis and others who wanted their separate provinces were also justified and the government should take measures in that regard.
